Nearing the last few hours of wk3. Everything has gone smoothly. It is exciting to watch my clothes fit in much more slimming ways! I am also learning how to manage afterwork activity -- like happy hours. I save the MF bars for those sorts of things.

Exercise has been up too. Finally found an elliptical that I like and that really pushes me. The other day my heartrate was up in the high 170s and low 180s. That's similar to what I get from running -- just without all the back inflammation. (Yesterday's gym time wasn't quite as fantastic.)

Still having problems with light-headedness when I stand up. I already have pretty low blood pressure, so I just have to be very careful. Haven't tumbled... yet!

Need to work on getting my 64oz of water/day. Some days I hit that, most days not.  I'm not sure I believe that water makes the diet more effective -- but why not pretend anyway. :-)

I have finised 1 week! No cheating, no meltdowns, only a few instances of flightyness. And the scale! At first I thought it was broken. :-)

I really am excited to get into week2. I avoided gym-exercise this past week. My gym tends to run warm and that didn't seem to blend well with my occasional bouts of lightheadedness.

Goal this week is to make sure I get all the 5 MF meals. The last three days I only had 4. Just was full when the time came from MF 5.

Picked this Sunday to start the 5 +1 plan. Sundays are quiet days for me and I figured I would be able to weather the reduced calories better. Tomorrow is a holiday so only a few people will be in the office. Which is good -- because I get crabby when I don't eat a lot. Fingers crossed that I make it through the first 4-5 days. After that I expect it to get easier. Looking forward to the challenge.

I told my boyfriend a few days back that I would be starting a diet today. He is a really good cook and seems to be very supportive. He sat me down on Friday and told me that he is going to be supportive, but that I need to be sure I am not doing this for him. I'm not! But I appreciate that he shared that feeling with me.
