Gosh I've been gone a while (2 months). Between overtime and stress at work, the cruise and my daughter coming home for Christmas I gave up on dieting. I gained just seven pounds over this period which is really good for me. Now I'm back with a vengeance. I am intent on getting back on the program starting today. It's evening and I'm doing really well. I drank a lot of water to help curb my appetite. Can't wait to see myself thinner next summer.

It's been a couple of weeks since I have written. I really haven't gone off the program, I've just been too busy to write. Last weeks weigh-in was to say the least surprising with a .6 weight gain. I didn't do anything different so I have to chalk it up with added muscle. This week however is right where I thought it would be. 6.2lbs lost. This program works as long as you work it. I weigh and measure everything. I log my food everyday and my weight every week. I take my measurements once a month. So far I've lost 34lbs and 16.5 inches. My BMI has dropped 5.2 points. I'm ecstatic with my progress.

Sorry I'm a little late with my blog this week. The past week was really uneventful. Still the same routine, drinking shakes, walking M-F for 40-45 minutes. I'm trying to increase the pace so I can add strength training and still maintain the 45 minutes per day exercise that MF requires. My hubby and I went to the movies and for the first time ever I didn't have popcorn. Instead I brought some soy crisps and had water to drink. I was satisfied and felt good that I could go and stay on my plan. It really helps to plan ahead.

After five weeks on MF I've dropped 4 inches and another 3.4lbs. I am happy with my results this week. It is more what I am used to when dieting. I have claimed that slow always wins the race. I need to make that my motto. If I can learn that then I will indeed win a lifetime of skinny happiness. It would be nice to be able to go to the doctor and not worry about getting on the scales. This past week I went to a 50th birthday party at a restaurant. I brought my own dressing and ordered the salad with everything on the side. That way I knew exactly what I was eating. For the dinner I had grilled chicken on skewers and roasted veggies. It was wonderful being in control and not eating the bread or the cake. I also drank water. Everything was great. I was really proud of myself. What will this coming week bring? I don't know but I'm up for the challenge.

1.8lbs down! In the past I have never had trouble losing weight. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I weigh my L&G and I drink the five shakes, soups or puddings. I also drink at least 64oz of pure water. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? This is aggravating. I get measured on Friday so I hope that sheds light on the situation. I walk my 45 minutes at least five days a week and do other things on the weekend like housework. This last weekend I completely emptied out my closet and drawers to see what sizes I own. At least I won't have to buy any clothes.

I've completed week three and I'm down another four+ pounds. That's average for me. You would think with all the sweating from the humidity alone I would have lost more. I'm drinking all my water and logging all my meals. I'll stay on track with my walking and start to look at a little strength training this week. I'll let you all know how that went next week.

I wish I could say I lost more weight this week but so some reason I didn't lose one pound. I know I did everything right this week its just not showing up on the scale. Oh Well there's always next week. Today I started my walking. Walking at work and walking my dogs in the evening. I walked 50 minutes today and will continue this routine the rest of the week. Even though I didn't lose this week I feel better and I look at my body and know its shrinking. Yes it bothers me but I'm not giving up on me. I'm worth this and so the program continues.

I have just completed my first week. I lost 15 lbs. It was easy for me to transition to shakes as I have been on programs with shakes before. The last time I lost all my weight and I took up running. I was training for a half marathon. I made it to the 12 mile marker and blew out my hip. That left me without the ability to do any exercise thus the weight gain. This time it will be different and permanent. I would still love to run but for now I will settle for walking and increasing my distance and speed.
My addiction with food has never been healthy I and don't ever want to eat again. I'll just stay on shakes the rest of my life. I have never felt better.
